Join ‘Drive My Car’ composer Eiko Ishibashi as she discusses her approach to developing her song worlds.

Japanese musician and composer Eiko Ishibashi has created a dynamic approach to sound that operates at the nexus of song form and score. A multi-instrumentalist, Ishibashi has maintained a unique approach to melody and texture that has become her trademark.

Whilst widely acknowledged for her albums on imprints such as Drag City, lately it is her film work which has gathered increased awareness. Her collaboration with Ryûsuke Hamaguchi has produced a series of acclaimed film projects including Drive My Car and most recently, Evil Does Not Exist.
